aha! theories on the possibility of the 'six degrees of separation'. we used to joke at my college that it was the 'cal poly three degrees of separation' - the school wasn't *that* big, and it was fairly certain you could connect everyone in three degrees. i don't know why, but i find the idea of everyone being connected like that quite interesting...i have had that happen before - where i know someone and find out they know somebody else i know, yet i didn't realize that they knew each other...ya know what i mean? :) (link from mr. shepard. thanks!)
