um, i got a tattoo. been thinking about it for awhile, and figured, fuck it, why not today? tristina took me where she got hers done. it didn't hurt that much, really. only took about 15 minutes. i'm stoked. :) it's on my left hip. my digital camera is acting up, but here is what it looks like (i designed it after much leaf research :) ):

it's an oak leaf....i knew i wanted a leaf, and after researching it, decided on an oak:

its celtic symbolism: The Oak represents the trial we all go through in life while changing and becoming that whom we are meant to be - we must also consider the greater good and moral responsibilities. It represents the soul, which in Celtic terms is the "eye of god." Change, sacrifice, and understanding. The Oak is the seventh month on the Celtic Tree Calendar. The Oak represents power, protection, strength, endurance, triumph, dominion, prosperity, sacrifice, guardian, liberator, success and stability

and...Oak people are robust, courageous, strong, unrelenting, independent, sensible, do not love changes, keep its feet on the ground, and is a person of action. Even when faced with over riding stressors, the oak person comes out on top better and stronger and more grounded than before. Instead of bending under stress and hurts, Oak people adapt and grow until they overcome the hurts, pains or stressors.

update...here is is on me :P :
